My story

Hi, I’m Nicole Thibault — the heart behind Alchemyk Cavaliers.

Breeding and showing Cavalier King Charles Spaniels is not just my profession, it's my passion. With over six years of experience, I’ve dedicated myself to raising healthy, well-socialized puppies that reflect the very best of the breed.

At Alchemyk Cavaliers, every dog is part of the family. I take pride in maintaining the highest breed standards, and I back that with extensive research and thorough health testing to ensure each puppy has the healthiest possible start in life. My goal is to not only preserve the beauty and temperament of Cavaliers but to place them in homes where they’ll be loved just as much as they are here.

Whether you're looking for a future show dog or a loving companion, I’m here to help you find your perfect match.

About Me

My passion for animals started early. I began asking for a pony when I was six… and didn’t stop until I was twenty! That love turned into a life dedicated to animals — from briefly breeding horses to now showing and raising Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, a breed I fell in love with for their size, temperament, and endlessly charming personalities.

For the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a Veterinary Technician specializing in Emergency Medicine, which has shaped how I approach breeding. My top priority is producing the healthiest Cavaliers possible. While breeding is never a perfect science, I put my heart, time, and experience into every step of the process — and I do it all on my own. Because of that, I appreciate your patience with responses.

All of my dogs are thoroughly health tested and registered:

  • AKC registered

  • CKCSC registered

  • DNA tested

  • OFA tested for:
    • Heart
    • Eyes
    • Knees/Hips

  • Bred from lines clear of Syringomyelia (SM) and Episodic Falling

  •

I breed just once or twice a year, and puppies are limited. If you’re interested in being placed on a waitlist, please fill out an application. I’ll reach out via text when a puppy becomes available.

Thank you for considering a Cavalier from Alchemyk — I’m excited to help you find your next best friend.

Alchemyk Dogs

Riza's Flash of Alchemy "Riza"

Riza is a beautiful 5-year-old Black and Tan Cavalier with a playful spirit and a heart of gold. She’s OFA certified clearin eyes, heart, knees, and hips, and fully DNA tested through the AKC.

Riza has always brought energy and joy to our home — her favorite pastimes include a good game of fetch and enthusiastically chasing squirrels in the yard! Her lively personality and sweet nature made her a joy to work with during her breeding years.

Now officially retired from breeding, Riza will be spending the rest of her days here with me, enjoying all the snuggles, treats, and squirrel-chasing her heart desires.

CH Cobrnik Colonel Hughes DCAT"Maes"

Maes is my 2-year-old Tri-color boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. A total goofball and extrovert, Maes believes every human (and every dog) is his best friend — and he’s never been one to respect personal space! His favorite games are fetch and keep-away (especially when he’s winning).

He has completed all of his OFA health testing and is fully DNA profiled. Maes does have corneal dystrophy, a cosmetic condition that does not affect his vision or cause any health complications. While it’s a low risk genetically (only about 8% chance of passing it on), he will only be paired with females that do not carry the same condition to ensure the best possible outcomes for future puppies.

Maes is now available for stud to approved females. If you're interested in learning more about him or inquiring about breeding, feel free to reach out!

Intrynzik Vaughn Thibault "Vaughn"

Vaughn is a beautiful 3-year-old Blenheim who recently wrapped up a successful show career and is now shining in her newest role — mom!

She has passed all of her OFA health testing, including eyes, hips, knees, and heart, and is fully DNA tested. Vaughn is a wonderful example of both the breed standard and the gentle temperament Cavaliers are known for.

Naturally shy and soft-natured around new people, Vaughn is a total sweetheart once she gets comfortable — and a bit of a goofball when it comes to her toys (no stuffed animal is safe!). She recently had her first litter and has proven to be a loving, attentive mother who enjoys playing with her puppies and gently teaching them the ropes.

Alchemyk Whos the Fairest "Mira"

Mira is a spirited 1-year-old Black and Tan girl from Riza’s 2023 Zodiac litter. Full of personality and sass, she’s a playful pup who’s always on the move — especially when she’s tearing through the backyard with her best buddy Maes.

Mira has done wonderfully in the show ring, showcasing her charm and structure with confidence. This year, she’ll be taking a break from showing to welcome her first litter. She turns 2 in May, and once she completes all of her OFA health testing, she’ll be bred to Maes — a pairing we’re very excited about!

If you’re interested in a future puppy from Mira, please fill out an application. I’ll reach out if there’s a puppy in her litter that matches your preferences.

Alchemyk Scotch Bonnet "Cassia"

Cassia is a stunning Ruby girl from Riza’s Breakfast Foods litter, and she’s as sweet as her name suggests. Athletic, confident, and always up for fun, Cassia brings a lively energy to the pack and is always on the move.

She had a strong start in the show ring last year and turned heads with her presence and poise. I’m excited to continue her show career later this year as she matures — she’s got all the right traits and a bright future ahead of her.

Cassia is still young, but she's already showing the heart and structure we love to see in our Cavaliers.
